   Washi-no-Sato Higashi-Chichibu


"Hosokawashi" is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and can be found at the Washi-no-Sato in Higashi-Chichibu. Visitors are free to explore the institution, and are able to have a hands-on experience of the art of Japanese paper-making. In addition to being able to make paper and soba noodles, there is a food court where you can enjoy the taste of Higashi-Chichibu with grilled iwana (type of fish) with salt and oyaki (type of roasted Japanese dumpling). The building is easily accessible from the heart of Tokyo, and is a place where you can savor the nature and atmosphere of Japan's country-side. This is the best place to make lasting memories and make your family souvenirs, so please come and visit the Washi-no-Sato in Higashi-Chichibu.

・From Ogawamachi Station on the Tobu Tojo Line, take the Eagle Bus (bound for "Shiraichi Shako" and "Washi no Sato") for 15 minutes, then get off at "Washi no Sato"
・From Yorii Station on the Tobu Tojo Line, take the Eagle Bus(bound for Washi no Sato) for 15 minutes, then get off at Washi no Sato
