   Washi-no-Sato Higashi-Chichibu

"Hosokawashi" is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and can be found at the Washi-no-Sato in Higashi-Chichibu. Visitors are free to explore the institution, and are able to have a hands-on experience of the art of Japanese paper-making. In addition to being able to make paper and soba noodles, there is a food court where you can enjoy the taste of Higashi-Chichibu with grilled iwana (type of fish) with salt and oyaki (type of roasted Japanese dumpling). The building is easily accessible from the heart of Tokyo, and is a place where you can savor the nature and atmosphere of Japan's country-side. This is the best place to make lasting memories and make your family souvenirs, so please come and visit the Washi-no-Sato in Higashi-Chichibu.
