Enjoy seeing coloful decorations at the

"Sayama City Iruma River Tanabata Festival"

 

The Sayama City Iruma River Tanabata Festival is held every year for 2 days, on Saturday and Sunday of ealry August.
This festival is rich with the history and tradition of Sayama, and reminds people of summer.
Tanabata is an event in Japan where wishes are written on long strips of paper and hung on bamboo leaves.
The venue is decorated with about 130 Tanabata ornaments for visitors to ...enjoy.
Visitors can feel Tanabata through various events such as a folk dance and drum and fife band parade,

as well as Awa Odori and Ohayashi (Japanese orchestra).
