Traditional Summer Festival: "Nagatoro Funadama Festival"

The festival is held every year on the night of August 15 and is known as earth's window, "Nagatoro".
During the festival, Japanese-style ships decorated with paper lanterns float down the Arakawa River that flows through the natural beauty of Nagatoro valley.
As fireworks are launched in the air from the valley, the noise and vibrations from the explosions create an eco.
There is also a special fireworks piece shown at this festival that looks like the Niagara Falls.
