Kawagoe’s representative street food is of course the Imokoi.

The brand for this delicacy has been known since the Edo period and people today have recognized the imokoi as one of Kawagoe’s sweet.

The texture of this sweet is undeniably unique, since it uses round slices of sweet potato, red bean, wrapped in a mochi or Japanese rice cake. Steams coming from the shop itself will make winter season a whole lot warmer and leave you with a strong appetite.

The shop is located next to the iconic Bell tower so make sure to come and try these unique sweets!
