Saitama Prefecture is active in providing its citizens with international exchange opportunities to help them acknowledge differences in language, religion and culture so that they can develop deeper understanding and trust with people throughout the world. The prefecture places particular focus on five states/provinces of five countries with which it makes exchange in a wide range of fields such as the economy, environment, medicine and education.
