New Year's visit to Kanasana Shrine

~ Daiko Fushoji Temple, Daruma Ichi (January 3rd)~  

 

It is said that the origin of Kanasana Shrine began around 100 AD, which was about 1,900 years ago.
For the first shrine visit of the year during January 1st to the 3rd, approximately 100,000 people visit the shrine.
At the Daiko Fushoji Temple, every year on January 3rd the temple sells “daruma”, the Japanese lucky charm that has been around for centuries, which brings many people to Daruma Ichi.
